On July 14th, 2012 Larry entered St. Joseph's ER for constipation and left a week later missing 2 feet of his colon, his appendix was gone and a diagnosis of stage IV colon cancer. Over the next 5 years, he has endured endless surgeries, many rounds of chemo, remission and a total colon removal. Never once, throughout this cancer roller coaster, has Larry complained, gave up or lost hope. He is the true definition of a fighter!
On Saturday, September 23rd at Montrose Harbor, let's celebrate and honor this brave warrior by walking in the Get your Rear in Gear 5k! LRM Crew you have been the most supportive bunch of people I know, with us every step of this cancer journey, so let's celebrate us too. And of course this day would not be complete without a brunch hosted by Glenda immediately following the walk. Remember...our crew does not run this 5k, we walk, talk and laugh our asses off!
If you cannot walk this year, please consider making a donation in Larry's honor. Colon cancer research and the advances researchers have made continue to save my brother’s life.
